shirtdresses

I'm a big fan of the classic shirtdress, although i'm going to have to resort to making my own: tall, long waisted me can't buy "off the rack" without the waist sitting below my ribcage and the hem hitting above my knees. in addition to being long waisted, i also have toothpick legs and don't like to wave them about too much. layering a skirt under a shirt dress? - yes please!

or just always wear tights...

i digress.
so, on the sewing list for 2011: more of the same!

here's a real charmer from Jonathan Saunders' summer of '10 collection. i love the inverted box pleats. thanks to the sartorialist for giving me fashion inspiration; now i just need some extra time...

  1. Thanks so much for your comment over at inspiredbycharm about the camera lens!

i was going to email you, but couldn't find an address. does this lens really make a difference for the $100 investment. i'm new to camera use as you may have figured, but would be intersted in this lens based on your recommendation.

    any advice is greatly appreacited!!
